The mos.viewer is a helpful resource and powerful tool for creating apps in mos. It provides an overview of actions and layers available in mos. The installation and use of the mos.viewer is explained below.

Installing the mos.viewer

The mos.viewer is available in the official stores for both android and iOS.

Following these instructions you will be able to download and install the mos.viewer for your mobile device.

The mos.viewer is now installed.

Viewing your app

Viewing your app on the intended device is essential for testing.

Following these instructions you will be able to access your app on your mobile device.

Requirements: You must be hosting the app with the mos.launcher.

Loading the app

To view your app with the mos.viewer, you must first activate the developer mode.

Access the settings in the mos.viewer. Access the settings in the mos.viewer.
  • Tap on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner to access the settings.

  • Activate the developer mode by tapping the corresponding menu item.

  • Go back to the main screen of the mos.viewer.

  • Open the QR code scanner by tapping the corresponding icon on the develper mode button.
  • If asked, allow the mos.viewer to access the camera.
  • Scan the QR-Code from the mos.launcher.

The app will now load onto your device.

Updating the app

To view the changes you have made to your app, the new configuration must be loaded onto the device.

Whenever you save the changes to the project files while hosting the project with the mos.launcher, a popup will appear telling you that updates are available and promting you to restart.

  • Click "restart now" to update the configuration loaded on your device.

If the popup does not appear or you want to trigger an update manually for another reason, you can do this via the debug menu.

  • Shake the device to open the debug menu.
  • Select "Trigger Update".

The app is now updated.

App control

To remove your app from the device and return to the mos.viewer or load another app, proceed as follows:

  • Shake the device to open the debug menu.
  • Select "Reset and close app".

This resets the app to the default settings and loads the standard mos.viewer app configuration the next time the app is opened.

The mos.viewer is now reset to the default settings.
